低福祉社会を選択した日本

あとになって考えてみると、あれが歴史の分岐点だったと思えることがある。2012年末に行われた総選挙はまさにそのような選挙であった。何の分岐点かと言えば、それは福祉の水準についてである。日本国民は「低福祉中負担」社会を選択したのだ。

今回の選挙の争点は原発、消費税、TPPとされ、各党もそのことを強調していた。そして、大マスコミもあたかもそれが争点であるかのごとく報道していた。しかし、それにもかかわらず選挙が終わってみると、真の争点は福祉のあり方であった。
